There has to be something I don't understand in the Tarver line. 5Dimes currently has him at -410. They also list this line.
<TABLE class=module borderColor=#111111 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=670 border=0 rgfloat="440,600"><TBODY><TR class=gameodd><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap>Dec-18</TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap>10941</TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap>TARVER WINS INSIDE DISTANCE </TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap align=right></TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap align=right colSpan=2></TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap align=right>+196 <INPUT type=checkbox value="1492643_M_Dec 16 2004 12:20:14:530PM" name=SelLine></TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap align=right></TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap align=right></TD></TR><TR class=gameodd><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap>10:00 PM</TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap>11941</TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap>TARVER WINS BY 12 RND DECISION

</TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap align=right></TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap align=right colSpan=2></TD><TD style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: bottom" noWrap align=right>+110 <INPUT type=checkbox value="1492645_M_Dec 16 2004 12:20:22:450PM" name=SelLine></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Why would I bet $410 to win $100 if I could bet $205 to win $400 for a KO and $205 to win $220 in a decision.
Obviously I'm missing something, but I want to know what it is. Thanks for the help.

Yeah thats weird, I know that you would lose on a draw instead of pushing but I cant think of anything else.

Using your logic...

If Johnson wins you would lose $410 so thats what you are risking here.

Now lets look at the possible outcomes...

If Tarver wins by decision you just layed $410 to win nothing because you won $205 on the dec but you lost $205 on the Ko prop. So basically you risked $410 to win nothing

If Tarver wins by KO you win $200 because you lost $205 on the decision prop and won $400 on the KO

Basically you are risking $410 to win $200 at the most, if your guy wins by decision you just risked $410 to win nothing, and if Tarver loses you lose $410.

The reason you should play Tarver straight is because you are still risking the same amount, and if you play him staight you win $100 regardless of how he wins. The other way you are risking $410 to win nothing if Tarver wins by decision.

Hope this makes sense
